Food, Glorious Food

Fun fact: I lived in Beijing up until I was five years old. Chinese Food was a huge part of my growing up. So when I see there's a Chinatown nearby, I can't help myself. It's a weakness.

My friend Emma and I caught the train from Barnes to Leister Square, and as soon as we exited the station we were met by wonderful red lanterns.

We chose the best day to come, because it was The Moon Festival. There was a small stage where people dressed as lions danced to drums, as the spectators watched. Small stalls dotted the street, one of them was writing names in Chinese calligraphy.

But I would have to say, the best thing about the day was Dim Sum. I LOVE me some Dim Sum. Emma made me try some red bean buns (and me being a little china girl we were both surprised I haven't had it before) and they were yummo.

Afterwards we walked off our food babies by exploring Soho, Leister Square, and the Japanese Market. Overall, it was a really good day. I'll be back.
